SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW AND BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS ON ADOPTION OF DIGITAL PAYMENTS

Abstract

People widely use digital payments, also known as e-payments, because they allow for business transactions without the use of actual currency. In digital payments research, bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review (SLR) are rarely combined. The primary goal of this research work is to examine and evaluate the existing available literature on electronic payments. This research paper examines analyzes both peer reviewed and open access papers The papers were selected from Scopus databases covering the years 2000 to 2023. This research focused on 835 publications in total. Breakdown of these publications is as, 12 conference reviews and 494 articles were included, along with 303 conference papers and 26 review papers. In addition to bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review (SLR), VOSviewer software was used in the study.  Conducting this research would allow future researchers to acquire valuable insights into the present status of the literature, easing the process of conducting a qualitative literature review.
