Penegakan Hukum terhadap Tindak Pidana di Bidang Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Hayati dan Ekosistemnya di Wilayah Hukum Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur

Abstract

Natural resource conservations are carried out through the protection of life support systems, the preservation of the diversity of plants and animals and their ecosystems, and the sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystems. However, lately the utilizations of natural resources tend not to pay attention to and do not maintain the balance of population and habitat, and decline in law enforcement. These conditions indicate the existence of something that must be well understood and thoroughly repaired in the wider law enforcement. Utilization and conservation of natural resources and ecosystems are still not properly socialized at law enforcement agencies and other relevant agencies. Information on the protection, utilization and conservation of natural resources and ecosystems, species of flora and fauna are protected and knowledge of the illegal trade, both at national and regional levels, is still limited and not well understood by law enforcement officials and other relevant agencies. In Tanjung Jabung Timur, the frequency of crimes occurring in the conservation area are increasing every day, where the medias often include cases of illegal logging and poaching of endangered species in Berbak National Park area. Therefore, it is necessary to do research that aims to determines the factors that affect the enforcement of criminal law in the field of conservation of natural resources and ecosystems, as well as the efforts to be made in the handling of law enforcement on the conservation of natural resources and ecosystems in East Tanjung Jabung. This research is a descriptive research and using empirical juridical approach method with the aim to see certain characteristics about law enforcement on natural resources and
ecosystem in jurisdiction of Tanjung Jabung Timur.
