Challenges and Opportunities in HPV DNA Testing for Cervical Cancer Screening: A Study at Public Health Center, Jambi, Indonesia

Background: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women, with HPV infection being the primary risk factor. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of HPV DNA testing at the Talang Bakung Public Health Center from January to October 2024.
Methods: This study identify issues related to HPV DNA testing at the Talang Bakung Public Health Center through the analysis of primary data (questionnaires and interviews) and secondary data.
Results: Screening coverage reached only 36.95% of the target, influenced by low knowledge among women of reproductive age (65%), limited support from husbands (27.5%), and insufficient frequency of health education sessions. Intensive education, cross-sector involvement, and budget allocation are needed to improve HPV DNA screening coverage.
