Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. The journal may consist of study results or research in the fields of Drama (Theater), Dance, and Music.
  2. Manuscripts must be typed using MS Word, with a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 17 pages, on A4 single-sided paper, using 1.15 line spacing, two columns, and margins as follows: top (2.5 cm), bottom (2 cm), left (2.5 cm), and right (2 cm).
  3. The font used should be Times New Roman, 10 pt (8 pt for images and tables).
  4. The content of the journal should include: Title, Abstract, Author’s Name, Affiliation, Introduction, Literature Review, Research Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References, and Appendices (if any).
  5. Each section does not require chapter numbering.
  6. Manuscripts can be written in either English or Indonesian.
  7. Foreign language terms should be written in italic.
  8. The abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English, with a maximum of 300 words each.
  9. Captions for images must be centered below the image and numbered; captions for tables must be placed above the table and also numbered.
  10. Font size used in tables should be smaller than the main text (i.e., 8 pt).
  11. Figure captions should also use 8 pt font size.
  12. Papers/Articles must be submitted to the editorial board of Cerano Seni: Journal of Performing Arts Studies and Creation, Department of Drama, Dance, and Music, Universitas Jambi, no later than one month before the publication date.

Authors submitting manuscripts to Jurnal Cerano Seni agree that if their manuscripts are accepted for publication, the copyright of the article shall be assigned to Jurnal Cerano Seni as the publisher of the journal. Copyright includes the rights to reproduce and distribute the article in all forms and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms, and any similar reproductions, as well as translations.

Jurnal Cerano Seni retains the rights to published articles. Authors are permitted to disseminate their published articles by sharing the link to the official Jurnal Cerano Seni website. Authors are also allowed to use their works for any purpose deemed necessary without written permission from Jurnal Cerano Seni, provided proper acknowledgment is given to the original publication in this journal.

Jurnal Cerano Seni and its editors make every effort to ensure that no incorrect or misleading data, opinions, or statements are published in the journal. However, the contents of articles and advertisements published are the sole responsibility of their respective authors and advertisers.

If an article is prepared jointly by more than one author, the submitting author warrants that they have been authorized by all co-authors to agree to this copyright and license policy on their behalf, and will inform all co-authors of these terms. Jurnal Cerano Seni will not be liable for any disputes arising among authors. Communication will be conducted only with the corresponding author.

By submitting a manuscript to this journal, authors agree to this policy and acknowledge that Jurnal Cerano Seni does not provide royalties or other fees for published articles. This agreement ensures that published articles are publicly accessible and free of charge to readers. No additional signed document is required.
